Travelife for Tour Operators
Travelife for Tour Operators is a leading training, management and certification initiative for tour operators committed to reach a higher sustainability level. With its online reporting system accredited by GSTC, Travelife trains tour operators on sustainability in tourism, supports them worldwide in implementing sustainability practices in their management, and certifies them for third-party verification.
Sustainability management is all about commitment and consistent sustainable business practices. This includes their tourism products, how they monitor and manage their impacts, and how they support their suppliers on their road to sustainability.
For Travelife I work as account manager and sustainability consultant for the African countries. I am responsible for guiding tour operators through the Travelife certification process and help them to implement more sustainability practices. Among others I also support in policy writing, active problem solving, updating sustainability standards, promoting Travelife on the larger tourism fairs (WTM London & Cape Town, ITB Berlin) and support in research projects such as EU Switch Africa Green.
